From the Australian Outback and the deserts of Dubai, to the Italian Dolomites and the French Alps, the Mitchelton-Scott and Astana Pro Teams raced in all conditions. 2018 was one for the record books. All three of our World Tour teams had their best year yet...all while wearing our FR-C Pro collection.
Giordana shines in the world spotlight with three of the top teams in the World Tour and the apparel they are wearing is second to none. These teams are driving product innovation, evident in every year’s collection.
With nearly 100 UCI wins, 5 WorldTour Podiums, 2 Grand Tour victories, and the #1 Male and #1 Female rider in the WORLD...2018 was a record year for our 3 pro teams.
The Mitchelton-Scott Women's Team won the Giro Rosa, becoming the first team to win a Grand Tour while wearing Giordana apparel. The Men's team had an amazing Giro performance with Simon Yates nearly missing the overall victory, but they soon joined the Women with a Grand Tour victory at La Vuelta. Making them the first Australian Men's and Women's teams to win a Grand Tour.
Astana Pro Team had a tremendous year as well. With over 50 stage wins and a Grand Tour podium at the Giro and La Vuelta from Miguel "Superman" Lopez.
Our teams proved their strength on the world stage. Investment in the sport at the highest level is a long and storied tradition for the Giordana brand. We look forward to a great 2019 season.
This season in the high Alps and the Pyrenees, blistering sprint finals, and long breakaways, Astana, Mitchelton-Scott, and many more relied on pro tour kits from Giordana.
Incredible! wins the final stage and the Maglia Rosa at the #girorosa to give Mitchelton-SCOTT their first Grand Tour win! @mitchelton_scott
This team...best part of yesterday was sharing the podium with these ladies as winners of the teams classification. I’m proud of our whole team and it was special to be a part of such great teamwork to ensure the win. @amandaspratt87
