The Next Generation in Giordana Cycling Apparel
Thermal Bonding Technology (TBT) construction for improved aerodynamics and lightweight second skin fit, all-way stretch shoulder, waist and lower pocket fabric forms and fits in the riding position and has excellent return and keeps the jersey in place without elastic, all while keeping the body cool and dry. The textured rear of the jersey breaks airflow and protects against UV rays and bacteria. The front of the jersey, with 21% Lycra®, provides a second skin fit while moving moisture quickly and keeping the rider dry. Laser cut and TBT treated arm cuffs are thin, soft and increase aerodynamics and comfort.
Thermal Bonding Technology
Thermal Bonding Technology (TBT) combined with cutting-edge fabric is the key element in creating Giordana’s Next Generation of innovation in cycling jersey design. The use of TBT to fuse fabric together creates the ultimate aerodynamic and lightweight fit with a smooth skin side finish which conforms to the body to create Giordana’s second skin fit. All Giordana Women's apparel is designed using the Women's Contour Fit system, meaning the paneling and construction is derived from a woman’s form in the riding position.
The shoulder fabric is woven to embody an all-way stretch which lies perfectly over the shoulders in the riding position and while standing, with the aid of the hammerhead shoulder design. The all way stretch is apparent around the waist, and below the pockets, eliminating the need for elastic and providing a very soft stretch. It also virtually eliminates sagging due to the excellent return rate of the fabric.
The back of the jersey utilizes textured microfiber which breaks the air flow thus increasing the aerodynamics. The fabric has a built-in mechanical stretch for optimal fit and ceramic fiber to improve moisture management, UV protection, and antibacterial protection.
The front of the jersey is a polyester microfiber with a 21% Lycra® content to achieve the second skin fit while providing a pile interior which works with the body to move moisture quickly keeping the rider dry.
The sleeves are slightly longer than normal and laser cut with a 7mm turn-over TBT treatment at the cuff for a soft and very thin finish which is lightweight, increases aerodynamics and comfort. This TBT treatment is also visible at the waist of the jersey and the top of the pockets.
The three rear pockets are stable and prepared to take on the maximum amount of contents without sagging or bouncing. The fourth zippered pocket provides additional storage for valuables.
An ergonomically sculpted collar creates an even further aero fit while in the riding position.
The Camlock zipper is easy to maneuver with one hand, locks in the down position, and is finished with a fabric covering for an aerodynamic and sleek look. Rich Giordana rubber logos complete the jersey.
